The Top 3 Apps You Need to be Using

It’s no secret that everyone using a smartphone loves the “apps” available to them, especially free ones.  I cringe everytime there’s an app that I want to download on my phone that’s going to set me back a few dollars.  A couple bucks isn’t bad but what if I don’t like the app or rarely find a use for its function?  Then that money might as well flown right out the window.  Most of us would like to download a paticular app and play with it first to see if it’s going to make the team of apps sitting on our homescreen.

I got you covered there.  There’s three apps in particular that I keep find myself coming back to.  I chose these specific apps because I not only use them personally, but they will also be some of the hottest apps nationally this summer.

Perhaps my favorite of the three I’m listing for you.  This unique app allows users to request a car or SUV to pick them up similiar to a taxi.  However, that’s where the similarities stop.

The Uber service has a private, all-black car or SUV (depending on your group size) pick you up at your requested location.  The app instantly acts as a GPS, pin-pointing your current location from your phone.  It also allows you to see where the nearest pick-up cars/SUVs are located (listing ETA times for pick-up) in proximity to your current location.  Once assigned a driver, the app will provide you with the name and photo of your driver giving them instant credibility with you the customer.  One other nugget in this app is the ability to rate the drivers and their ability to rate you as a customer.  That’s right…you rate them and they rate you.

Upon initially downloading the app, you will need to sign-up and enter credit card information.  This information is requested because the car/SUV will use that card information to charge you for the services rather than you trying to find coveted dollar bills in your wallet or purse.  Now that’s convenient….no more standing around outside the cab trying to pool money together to pay the driver appropriately.  You will also receive a detailed in-app receipt & a receipt via email as well.

One of the hottest social media platforms out right now.  It’s still in its infancy stages but is already a hit among a vast variety of users.  Vine is a product of Twitter and therefor has some similarities to the ins-and-outs of its parent platform.

Vine takes advantage of the ability to create short, six-second video clips and share them with users in a virtual instant by sending them to other platforms such as Facebook and Twitter.   Whether you want to dabble into Vine for personal use or introduce ways it can be effective for your business, it’s an extremely simple and powerful tool.

I often times forget how beneficial and effective this app is for the sole reason that I just started using it a month ago.

The Capsule Cam app allows you to take pictures and transport those specific photos into a group “capsule”.  In other words, everyone who downloads the app and joins the “group” (which can be created by anyone) will be able to take photos using the app and have them instantly feed directly into a photo bank for the entire event.  Capsule Cam is by far the easiest way to collect every photo taken from the day.  Pretty exciting huh?  It’s extremely fun and interactive with larger groups, giving everyone the ability to contribute photos to the group album.  Good ideas for times to use this app would be anything from a night out with some friends to events such as weddings and vacations.

I’m almost certain you will find good use of at least one of the apps listed above.  If not, you can call me personally and blame me and in turn, I will tell you you’re crazy for not finding a function in your life where one of these apps can’t be beneficial.  Well, on second thought maybe I won’t list my personal cell number but you get the idea.  App away!

Cheers.
